I am a polymer clay/jewelry artist with my home and studio in New Jersey along the Delaware River. I live with my husband, two outdoor cats and one indoor princess cat. Our adult son lives in Virginia. I attended Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. In 1998 I received a BFA in communications/graphic design with a minor in figure drawing. I also took three semesters of jewelry making and metalsmithing.

For twenty-one years we spent every weekend at the Jersey Shore. The Atlantic Coast is where my inspiration comes from, not to mention that there is mermaid in my blood. I am devoted to creating beautiful things and obsessively driven by the desire to create. During my college years I learned to never give up, and because of that I have found my own unique way.

While still in school I discovered polymer clay and have not put it down since. I starting making ladybugs, flies, turtles and other little creatures. This did not last long after seeing an article in Ornament magazine by Tory Hughes and her wonderful faux stone recipes. I began producing beads and cabochons and then incorporating them into one of a kind art jewelry pieces. I love making jewelry and feel addicted to it. By wearing my jewelry I love the emotional response I get from friends, family and complete strangers, it’s my secrete critique strategy.

Another thing I love doing is to make tiles and assemble them into wall hangings. The tiles are created by forming layers on top of layers. Another technique is building canes, slicing them and using the slices in the layering process. I assemble the tiles and they evolve into larger pieces which tell a story.
